Sirenes.shtml

Sirenes

the nymphs toss their frothy foamy hair about

as they frolic across the crests

then playfully dive to deeper water

fluidly swimming to the ocean floor

salt water blood flows under

transparent skin

they move in one motion

to and fro in a wavering dance of the deep

then rocking to sleep in a briny bed of

seaweed and sediment

far above the mist the maidens

reveal their ethereal forms for a moment

in the salty spray on the rocks

they disperse into tiny droplets

and re-emerge in the foggy banks

melting in mystery to once again become

become blood sisters of the sea.
