Chanel #5
ordinary object -
extraordinary circumstance

This is a project from my senior year at UCLA. The idea for this photography project was to picture an ordinary object in unusual circumstances. I took the assignment from a more graphic perspective as opposed to literal. Thus I feel each of these photos maintains a certain aesthetic manner outside being a picture of perfume bottle (Chanel #5). Through the use of lighting mirrors and other special effects or vignettes the bottle is represented in uncommon ways.
These are all scanned at fairly low rez (for faster loading) from Ecktachrome slides so they are a little darker than the originals. They were all shot with a Nikon FG with manual settings.
